Julien R. Fielding

Julien R. Fielding is a leading expert in the areas of Religion and Film, and Transcultural Cinema.

Her first book, Discovering World Religions at 24 Frames Per Second was published in October 2008 by Scarecrow Press (order at Amazon: US, UK, CA)

She has a BA in art history from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and an MA in religious studies from the University of Kansas at Lawrence.

A part-time lecturer in the Religious Studies department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she teaches Introduction to World Religions. She is also an associate editor of the Journal of Religion and Film.

Her cinema website, Fielding on Film, allows her the opportunity to write Film and DVD reviews and opinion pieces on film outside of the areas of Religion and Film and Transcultural Cinema. She is also a reviewer for the Omaha City Weekly and writes under the name Bodhi Grrl on BeyondHollywood.com.
